How much does a Facelift cost in Houston? The cost of a Facelift in Houston ranges from $8,000 to $20,000, depending on the details of the customized plan. The total cost of your procedure will vary based on factors including your surgeon’s fee, the location of your procedure, and other miscellaneous medical expenses. At Heights Plastic Surgery, we accept cash and all major credit cards. We are also happy to offer financing through CareCredit® for patients. Because a Facelift is typically more about cosmetic appearance and is less of a medical necessity, most insurance plans do not cover it.
What is the recovery process after a Facelift? The initial recovery period after a Facelift typically involves mild to moderate swelling and bruising for the first 7 to 10 days. To minimize swelling and promote healing, a compression garment will be provided. Prescription medication may be prescribed by Dr. Downey or Dr. Bullocks to manage any discomfort you may experience. We also typically recommend for the first two weeks post-surgery that you sleep with your head elevated to help with reducing swelling. Most patients can return to work and resume light daily activities within one to two weeks after surgery. You should avoid direct sunlight exposure and refrain from using heavy makeup for three to four weeks following surgery to protect healing skin. Scars from surgery typically mature into thin, white lines that are easily concealed with makeup within approximately six weeks. At this point, you may gradually resume more strenuous physical activities and exercise routines. While initial improvements will be visible immediately, the full effects will become most apparent once swelling subsides and incisions have completely healed, typically at around three to four months.
Can I combine a Facelift with any other aesthetic treatments? Yes, a Facelift can be combined with complementary aesthetic treatments to achieve enhanced results. Common combination procedures include eyelid surgery, brow lift, and neck lift to address multiple signs of aging simultaneously, providing comprehensive facial rejuvenation.
Is a Facelift painful? While discomfort and mild pain are common after the procedure, your surgeon will provide pain management medication to help alleviate any discomfort. Most patients find the discomfort to be manageable with proper medication and rest during the initial recovery period.
What are the risks associated with a Facelift? As with any surgical procedure, there are inherent risks associated with a Facelift. These may include bleeding, infection, scarring, adverse reactions to anesthesia, asymmetry, nerve damage, and changes in sensation. However, by choosing a qualified and experienced plastic surgeon and following pre-operative and post-operative instructions diligently, these risks can be minimized.
How long do Facelift results last? While individual results may vary, the results of a Facelift are long-lasting and can potentially last a lifetime with proper maintenance and care. While the aging process will continue, you can expect to enjoy a significantly more youthful and rejuvenated appearance for many years following your procedure.
